Destiny & Amy's B'day Cook-out

My great-niece, Destiny Theye, my niece-in-law, Amy McMillan, and Sharon's husband, Chris Bailey, all celebrated their birthdays with a cook-out at "Theye-Land". (Pronounced TIE...that's from my "yankee" nephew-in-law.)
It was a great night for a fire...just a little chilly....
This is Destiny with her best friend Peyton

Just a random picture of Lisa, being the gracious hostess, as always.

This just looks "fall-e" doesn't it? Ok, now for the rest of the story.
The butterfly was DOA after colliding with the grill of my Jeep...Isabella couldn't stand to prounounce it dead....so we had a photo-op with the butterfly! RIP!

Me and my beautiful great-niece Megan.

And....the precious Isabella....Miss Izzy!

This was a cool gift that Aunt Dee gave Destiny...when you punch a button on the stand of the flag, it plays all sorts of patriotic music and the flag waves.
Made me want to get up and march!

Beautiful N.I.L. Amy

Enjoying visiting....from left to right
Karen (N.I.L.), Nicci (Lisa's best friend), Aunt Dee (who has moved to Arlington)
and Granny Jarrell.
The birthday honorees and their yummy cake!

Yes, thank you, I do enjoy sitting at the kids' table.

I'd like to introduce the newest member of our family....this is RICKY. He's 6 weeks old and I can NOT get a picture of him by himself because he and Lucy are best buds.
We've had Miss Lucy for about 2 months now...it was time for a "friend". So, we got Ricky this past Thursday. Didn't know how they'd get along...but as you can see they get along just fine!

LARRY GOES SKYDIVING!

This past Saturday, Larry went for his first skydive! He's wanted to do this since he was a little boy, so to check it off his "list" we were off to Skydive Dallas in Whitewright....WAY out in the country. It was so calm watching the jumpers coming down from the beautiful blue sky. You can go to their website here: http://skydivedallas.com/ It was the most incredible, awesome, serene, nerve-wracking, fun time! WOW...did that take care of all the emotions that his Mom went through? I'm ready to do it now!

This is Larry with his Papaw Sprinkle. Papaw was the inspiration that Larry always had about jumping. Papaw was a paratrooper in the Korean War and has a really cool tattoo with a parachuting skull. Papaw even gave up watching the Texas OU game on Saturday to watch his oldest grandson jump....he did listen to it though. (How 'bout them HORNS?)
Larry and Papaw talking things over before the jump.

There were lots of us there to watch him jump....

Me and my "baby" before he jumped.

Larry, his Dad (Steve), and his sweet girlfriend Jill. In this picture, we are in the training class with him. I thought that was pretty cool that they let us go in for that also. (It was also pretty funny too!) Speaking of pretty funny....Steve decided to do his Three Stooges football impression.

Larry with Steve's sister, Karen and her daughter Kristie

And Larry with his friend Susan. She came all the way from Blossom to watch!

Yep....he's gonna jump from all the way UP there.

Have they jumped yet????

Larry and his tandem instructor DJ right as they were about to jump out the door!

You can tell by Larry's facial expression in this picture that he is having the time of his life.

Right before they landed.

Right after they did a stand-up landing....absolutely perfect! Larry and DJ landed right on the mark and flat-footed! No "sliding" in for these 2! It looked as though they stepped out of the air.

DJ gave Larry his report on the jump! WoooHOOOO!

I'M BACK!!!!!!

What a summer it's been! I've had quite a few people tell me that I need to get my blog updated! I've put it off so long....I'm gonna give you the "cliff notes" version!

My son Larry came in to visit this weekend and I was so glad to see him. We had a GREAT time, went running around on Saturday and to a birthday party out in Roxton, for my great-niece Isabella, who turned 4! We had so much fun and really enjoyed the weather. Happy B'day Izzy!

Me and my Larry

Larry and the birthday girl Isabella! She loves her some "Spinkyboy".

This is our newest addition to the family....Miss Lucy.
As you can see, she's a size 8.

I was sick during August and September....still not sure what it was, but I don't want "IT" again. I lost my voice for 2 1/2 weeks...had to be off work a LOT...took too much medicine... and had to go to the doctor too many times! Thought you might get a big laugh out of this picture that Webber took, while I was at my worst! Our new puppy Miss Lucy was feeling really sorry for me and wanted to be REALLY close to me all the time. As you can see....I was THRILLED to have my picture taken.

Attractive aren't I? haha!!

When Larry & I came in yesterday - this is how she met us at the door...with her chew toy around her neck like a necklace. How funny is that? What a diva!

The biggest news of the summer for us was FINALLY getting to move into our new little house. It's been a lot of work and will continue to be a lot of work...but someone told me that I "have the rest of my life to work on it". I don't have the "before" pictures, because our monitor went out on the old computer and I can't get to all that right now.....so here's my HOME! I took this picture at dusk tonight, so you may not get the real feel for it....I'll take more later. Check out the RED door. That has always been my dream...I just think that a red door is so inviting! You'll have to come see us!
